See how we are at Nake-id Knits: I promised to show you the haul, and instead, a dead camera battery forces us to impose a rather dull recitation of “Stuff I Learned in Taos.” Ready for some real excitement?
1. Podcasts are cool. Given that I can barely log new phone numbers into my cell phone, this came as a revelation. From Lauren. While drinking cosmopolitans. Imagine, these folks do weekly, one-hour broadcasts, ala “Prairie Home Companion,” except they don’t get paid, they’re hip and they riff about fiber. “Cast-On” by Brenda Dayne is quite something. And here’s a link from Podcast Alley to other knitters making noise.
2. Malabrigo Yarn: In a word, “wow.” More amazing yarn from Uruguay. And one more reason to visit South America.
3. Want to take a class with Terri Ranck: Who apparently has “cracked the code” on magic-ball knitting.
4. Real sweaters inspire: Between the store samples and parade of glam knits at Kit Carson Park, we added lots of new must knits to “the list.” No doubt I’m the last in the blogosphere to go bonkers over Klaralund. Seeing it in person at Taos Sunflower, though, sold me.

Also, spied a woman in the park wearing Nicky Epstein’s Cardi Wrap from Knitted Flowers, fashioned from her own bunnies’ angora. Trust me, she was a vision.
A sample of Pam Allen’s Streakers Shrug at La Lana had me frothing at the mouth. (La Lana’s Streakers yarn imparts this wonderful translucent heather throughout a garment.)
