The madness continues. After some research, I bought the juicer pictured above, a refurbished Breville (pronounced Bre-vill) Ikon scored on Ebay--$130 dollars, free shipping, no tax. We're nothing if not parsimonious here at Nake-id Knits.
After washing all the components, I threw caution to the wind and emptied out the crisper: Two apples, three stalks celery, some nice-looking romaine, some not-so-nice-looking romaine, half a cuke and a banana that had seen better days. The thing grinds, munches and groans and after a bit begins sputtering celadon-colored juice into a container. It's all very easy, if time-consuming, and requires a lot of product for very little liquid.
How was the taste? A nose-pincher.
Surely you have better recipes to share.
