As is the way here at Nake-id Knits, the path of design does not always run smoothly. After knitting the back of the Kim Hargreaves rip-off cardi, I realized I wanted a wider garter stitch edge. That change was reflected in both fronts and the sleeves, but now the back didn’t match. So yesterday without even taking a little nip of something to take the edge off, I cut right across the bottom edge. See?

Then I whisked away the scrappy bits and picked up the live stitches thusly:

Naturally, I lost a couple of rows, but within half an hour, my back had a nice, wide garter stitch band just like its friends. More to come.
Ta!
